THANKS TO YOU, WE RAISED $94,619!!!

Our 2024 annual gala, Bright Futures, was a remarkable success, bringing together 175 guests for an unforgettable evening. Attendees enjoyed a vibrant atmosphere filled with live music, inspiring stories, and delicious bites from Haiti, Taiwan and Ghana. Thanks to the generosity of our sponsors and donors, we raised $94,619! Truly incredible.

WE WERE PROUD TO SHARE THE FOLLOWING PROGRESS NOTES DURING THE EVENING:

HAITI - Our work is Haiti continues despite the challenges. Just two weekends ago, we graduated another 15 family members out of poverty for good. In October, we sent 190 students back to school. This month, we are investing in 24 new small businesses.

GLOBALLY - We've expanded our work to Taiwan and Ghana by applying the same model and process where we ground our programs in what our families and collectors value and what they need to address the root cause of poverty.

• IN TAIWAN, we have a subsidy program addressing financial insecurity that has up to double the volume of recycled materials collected while enabling our collectors to address all essential needs on their own.

• IN GHANA, where we have met some of the savviest entrepreneurs, they lack the resources to make ends meet. We're addressing capacity to scale and to trace materials to source.

ADVISORY PRACTICE - We have also taken what we've learned from our families, collectors, and our programs to join forces with global nonprofits and household brands to accompany informal waste workers to dignified work. Learn more on our First Mile program page.
